Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 October 2026
This policy explains what Neural Signal Corporation Limited (“NeuralSignal”, “we”) collects when you use NeuralSignal, why, who it is shared with, and the controls you have. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
1. What we collect
- Account details — username, display name, password (stored only as a hash), and an optional email address used for password reset and billing receipts.
- Content you create — posts, reels, stories, comments, polls, profile photo and banner, bookmarks and collections, and direct or group messages including attachments, locations you choose to share, and reactions.
- AI conversations — the messages you send to NeuralRadar and its replies. Your conversations are stored on our servers, tied to your account, so they are there when you sign in on another device. Files you attach are recorded by name, type and size, not stored with the conversation. You can delete a conversation, or a single message, at any time, and it is removed from our servers. We also keep a count of AI requests (model, tokens, cost, timing) for your usage allowance and for billing.
- Activity — follows, likes, reposts, views, reports you file, calls you make or receive (participants, time, answered or missed — never the call content), and the devices and sessions signed in to your account.
- Technical data — IP address, browser or app version, and request logs with a request id, kept for security and reliability.
- Billing— plan, invoices, and payment references from our payment provider. Card numbers are entered on the provider's checkout page and never reach us. For a plan bought in the iPhone or iPad app, Apple takes the payment: we receive Apple's signed record of the purchase (the product, a transaction identifier and the renewal date) so we can apply your plan. We do not receive your Apple Account details or your payment method.
2. Why we use it
- to run the service — show your posts to your followers, deliver messages, place calls, remember what you have read;
- to keep it safe — detect spam and abuse, enforce our terms, review reports, and handle appeals;
- to answer you through NeuralRadar, and to meter that against your plan;
- to bill you for a paid plan and send receipts;
- to notify you of activity on your account, if you have those notifications on;
- to comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.
The legal bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a safe service, your consent where we ask for it (for example notifications, and sharing data with AI providers — see section 3), and legal obligation.
3. NeuralRadar and AI providers
NeuralRadar's AI features are answered by third-party AI companies. Nothing is sent to them until you allow it: the first time you use an AI feature, the app and the website show what is sent and to whom, and ask. If you choose Not now, nothing is sent and the AI features stay off. You can change your answer at any time in Settings › Data & privacy (iPhone and iPad) or Settings › Privacy & safety (web).
Once you allow it, and only when you use the feature in question, we send:
- Chat — the message you send, the rest of that conversation, any photos, files or documents you attach, and our system instructions — to OpenAI, or to Anthropic, Google or xAI when you choose one of their models in the model picker.
- Voice conversations — the audio of your voice, while a voice conversation is open — to OpenAI.
- Image generation and captions — the description you write — to OpenAI.
- Questions about a photo — the photo and your question — to Anthropic.
- Comment summaries — the comments on the post you ask about — to OpenAI.
- AI persona accounts — the messages you send to an account that is answered by AI — to OpenAI.
We never send these companies your contacts, or your private messages and calls with other people. They process the data on our behalf, only to produce the answer, under API terms that forbid using it to train their models and limit how long they keep it for abuse monitoring. The legal basis for this sharing is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time; withdrawing stops future sharing.
The “Improve the model” setting in the NeuralRadar app controls whether your feedback (thumbs up or down and any comment) may be used to improve our routing and prompts. It never sends your posts or messages anywhere.
5. How long we keep it
Your account data and content stay for as long as your account exists. Stories expire from public view after 24 hours (highlights you create keep them). Session tokens expire and can be revoked from Settings. Request logs are kept for 30 days. Deleted accounts are removed within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal, billing or safety reasons, which are kept for the period the law sets.
6. Your rights and controls
- Download your data— Settings › Privacy & safety exports everything held about your account as a JSON file.
- Delete your account — Settings › Danger zone. Deactivation hides your account instead; signing in again restores it.
- Correct your details — edit your profile and email in Settings.
- Control visibility— private account, activity status and read receipts in Settings › Privacy & safety; mute, block and report from any profile or post.
- Object or complain— you can object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent, and complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
To exercise a right you cannot exercise from Settings, email support@neuralsignal.co.uk from the address on your account. We answer within one month.
7. Cookies and local storage
The website keeps your session token, your theme choice, and your NeuralRadar conversation history in your browser's local storage. None of it is used for tracking across sites and there are no third-party advertising cookies. Clearing site data signs you out and removes the local AI history (use the export in NeuralRadar first if you want to keep it).
8. Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions are revocable, two-factor authentication is available, and access to production data is limited to staff who need it. If we learn of a breach that puts you at risk we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires. No system is perfectly secure, so use a unique password and turn 2FA on.
9. Children
NeuralSignal is not for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; material changes are announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Neural Signal Corporation Limited — support@neuralsignal.co.uk. See also our Terms of Service.
